This is something we'll all be different with. You'll also have to factor in age and activity level. You can calculate your BMR and then factor in your activity level. Someone posted this link on another site and it worked out to be pretty accurate for me. I've been maintaining for the better part of 6 years.

    Here's the linkbmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

Like Anna said, it'll vary. For reference, I'm almost 5'2", ~125, 23 years old, 2400 maintenance. I aim for 20,000 steps/day. Sedentary job, productive workouts.

And I'm 5'1" and 105 pounds and my maintenance is 1250-1350. Being older, aged 60, does make a difference.

Dang, Im 4'2, 41 yrs old....wondering what my "maintenance" weight should be...always thought 100lbs was a "healthy" goal.

    Boy, being short blows =/

I'm 4'11'' and I don't even want to imagine what my maintenance calories will be (when I hit a weight I like) if I don't necessarily want to be slaved to a consistent workout routine. I'm getting depressed even thinking about it.

Ugh, these have been struggly days, weight loss wise. But this too shall pass ")

I wish I was a tall dude, lol.

I'm 5'0 @ 108lbs, I've been maintaining for about a year with not more than1400 calories a day, I'm used to it, I eat low calorie food most of the day and maybe 1 chocolate slab (250 calories) or anything to spice up my day, I actually feel uncomfortable if I've eaten a lot, my body has gotten used to the small meals, I feel healthy and bouncy all the time even after lunch

5'0" here, currently 108 lb. I'm not maintaining right now, my goal is 105 lb. and 17%-18% BF, but I wanted add in my advice and input.

As stated above, not everyone is going to eat at the same maintenance calories even if they are the same height or weight (just like everyone's ideal weight is not going to be the same either). It depends a lot on your activity level, and your age, and the weight that you decide to maintain at.

At 5ft. flat and 108 lb., I'm eating around 1500 to 1600 calories a day and that's to lose weight. I'm a very active shorty; I run 3-4 miles every other day, I lift weights 3 days a week, I kayak and go hiking on the weekends, and I'm a hunter. With how active I am in my personal life my maintenance calories would probably be around 1900 - 2100 calories.

The trick with finding your maintenance, like with weight loss, is trial and error. Start with a base and then go from there. For example, let's say that you're currently losing at 1200 calories a day and you've finally reached your goal weight. Well instead of just jumping straight to maintenance, up your calories to by 100, 1300, for a week or two to help get used to eating more. After two weeks up your calories again by 100 calories and hold there for a few weeks to again help you get to used eating that much. Then just repeat that process until you stop losing weight and start to finally maintain your current weight.

I'm 5'1" and I set myself a range of about 102-104. I've found that you can set your calories too low! At 1200 I was down to an unhealthy weight, keeping everything else (number of workouts) the same. You will definitely need some trial and error. For me, if I'm not quite as active as usual, 1400 is good. If I'm doing my usual workouts, 1500-1600 is good. Maintaining this for 13 years now. :-) Oh, and I'm 53.

It's great to hear from all the tiny ladies! I'm 4'11" and find that between 95 to 100 lbs feels great for me (more energy, less pain). I'm a little over that right now and will be looking to maintain when I get back to that goal. I'm not very active so my calorie intake is pretty low right now (1200) but I'm looking forward to figuring out how to balance increased activity and a few more calories. Thanks OP for starting this thread.

I'm 27 5'1 and 114 lbs trying to get a little leaner, about 110 is my goal. I've had 2 children and have hypothyroidism. I eat super healthy and work out about 6 days a week. I'm eating around 1400 calories a day just trying to reach my protein and nutrition goals.

5'0", 120 lbs. Still losing until I hit 110 or so, but my maintenance level is approx 2100. I lose an average of 0.8 lbs a week on 1700 calories (I do a calculation every 4 weeks). I have 5 hours of roller derby practice and 2.5-3 hrs of weight lifting a week.

Oh wow, jealous - no way could I maintain anything under 120 and still eat and live haha. I am aiming for 140 and will be happy and live with that (also below what my deitician actually recommended). Will work on toneing and muscles now to help improve things.
I am just under 5'1 and currently 145 (5 pounds to my goal weight). oh and 34 years old.

I am currently eating around 1350 calories most days and am loosing maybe 1 pound a week ish? It's really slowed down in the last month (I lost 105 pounds so far). I run 5k 3-4 times a week and aim for 20,000 steps per day.

5'1, 109 lbs (fluctuates between that and 112 regularly) and average around 1700 calories a day. Not very active either. I'm very small framed so 109 lbs isn't as thin as it may seem.

40 years old, 5'2, 121 lbs, transitioning to maintenance, which should be about 2000-2100 including exercise, which for me is mostly walking and some basic circuit training.

I'm 5'0", 112 lbs, and hoping to get down to about 105 lbs. Since I'm not as active as I used to be, 1200 calories seems to work out just fine. I keep it a little low to account for any underestimating. I'd like to work out a bit more and increase the calorie goal to ~1400 daily...we'll see!

Yes, I'm active. Work a desk job but aim for an hour workout per day, and I have a small child who keeps me busy all evening long.

I am 5 ft 1, 100 lbs, 23, and I would say I am in between light and moderate activity. I don't have a job right now as I am about to move, but I try to be up on my feet cooking or cleaning, and I also exercise at least 30 minutes each day, but some days I workout up to about an hour and a half (I do Cardio Kickboxing, Pilate's, and Vinyasa Power Yoga, occasionally HIIT) I am maintaining it at 1400. Technically I am maintaining my weight, but am trying to burn fat while building muscle though. (By eating 35% carb ,45% protein, and 20% fat)

    Everyone is different ... LITERALLY!

From body frame to lifestyle to a host of other reasons why this is not the most accurate way to figure out your maint calories.

Do your own homework and plug in your numbers HERE to get a general baseline.

    Good luck!

I lose on 1500 cals daily and maintain on roughly 2000-2200. I'm heavy on the muscle in my butt and thighs/legs from horseback riding and farmwork, so I guess it helps me burn a little extra here and there.

Info: 5'1", 27 years old, lightly active, deskjob + exercise a few times a week and various random activities related to side-work.
