frustrated scale and size not matching....

I can see the weight loss in my stomach and thighs. The fat is dwindling slowly but the only issue is my scale is not showing that weight loss. It annoys me because I know I'm losing the weight. Anyone else having/had this problem?

so what if the scale isn't moving...I have to ask why does that matter if you know for sure that you are getting smaller????
But in any case yes it happens all the time that is why scale weight is typically irrelevant.
Track not just scale weight but measurements, BMI, BF%, what you see, use pics etc....

and the first person to say muscle weighs more than fat and the OP is building muscle wins the award today...0 -
I'm not seeing the problem here. The point is to lose body fat, which you clearly are. The scale is an inaccurate means of measurement. The tape measure is much more accurate. You probably have water weight masking your progress on the scale.0

I can see what you are saying. But my doctor says I'm 30 lbs overweight so that number while I b the grand scheme of things may not be important is important to my doctor so I kinda have to worry about it. Thanks for the info.0

Your doctor should also be mindful of your diminishing waist line. That Dr's still rely on bmi is ridiculous - my husband was recently classed as obese even though the Dr could clearly see he wasn't fat, but muscley instead.
Be patient - the weight will eventually drop to please your Dr, in the meantime, know within yourself that your commitment is paying off!0 -
I have the same thing and was frustrated until yesterday. Doctor told me that I am gaining muscle which is leaner. So while the number on the scale has not moved, my clothes fit better and that is a good thing. Good example in my 20's size 4 and was only 40lbs lighter than I am now. I had lots of muscle I let go and working on getting that back.0

BMI is the most useless and overused stat ever..IMO….my BMI is nearly obese yet I am probably about 13% body fat …go figure…

Rely on what you see. The scale isn't useful if you have developed muscles, BF% isn't useful if you're an older athlete, BMI is useless in general.0

I'm just going to focus on what I can see and feel instead of the scale. As I mentioned I know in the grand scheme of things the number isn't important but I was worried because the doctor wants to see a decrease in the number. So the scale is being put away for now.
