Today a coworker told me that a physical therapist, nutritionist, and doctor told him that it is impossible to lose weight around where your waist unless you dont wear underwear while you workout...because the underwear holds in the fat in place... It was very hard not to laugh.
Also swears that you should get those wrap things to wear around your waist while you work out to lose belly fat...
Thoughts?

No, it makes sense. That's why the uncovered areas of the body usually lose weight first.0

Old school! Well half the time I don't wear under wear when I work out and yet it is still there. When I wear underwear I have the underwear indentations which are worse when I wear them versus when I don't though I did note if you wear those tight control top kind of underwear it helps to improve it over time. But the fat is still there so...0

That's fantastic. Does she think that you shake the fat loose and it falls out?
Though it explains why my boobs are still huge, my sports bra is pretty tight...0 -
I have never heard of such. If that were the case then I think we would see a horrible trend of nude gyms.0

And here I thought I could just take a magic pill and my adipose would jump ship...
Who knew my compression capris were just keeping the little buggers in. :grumble:

This sounds like the person who tried to tell me room temperature water would speed up your metabolism while cold water had no benefits. Gee thanks Forrest Gump.0
