Hello everyone. I (very) recently found out I'm pregnant! I have always struggled with my weight and I do not want to use the pregnancy as an excuse to backslide, so I am looking for support.

I hit my highest weight of 205lbs while in law school. I lost 20 pounds before my wedding in May 2013, and kept it off for the last year.

Support of all kinds is greatly appreciated, but I would really love to find a few people similarly newly pregnant for camaraderie and friendship over the next months. Feel free to reply, message, or friend me if you're interested!

Not newly pregnant (21 wks) but dealing with similar issues -- I was right on the line of overweight/obese when I got pregnant, so my doctors want me to keep my weight gain between 10 and 20 lbs. Right on track so far!

Congrats, great news. Talk with your OB about diet and fitness. You don't want to be losing weight, but I do understand you don't want to gain to much weight. Walking is great also water and there are workout programs for pregnant woman. Food well that can be tricky, you might have unbearable cravings, the foods you love, could end up making you sick, foods you thought you would never eat, may be the only ones you want. Same goes for your energy levels and movement. Best of luck to you and enjoy this journey you are on.

Nausea was def. a problem for me first trimester, but I found smaller meals with healthy snacks and some peppermint or ginger tea helped, rather than having to rely on a lot of crackers or bread. But everyone and every pregnancy is different! You may have to try a few things to find what works for you. Good luck!
