counting the calories of a marinade recipe

Cooking question: if you marinate salmon in a mixture of sesame teriyaki sauce and red wine, yet pour out most of the marinade before you grill it, do you need to count all the calories that went into making the marinade?

Did you drink it? If you threw most of it out, why would you count all the calories that was in the recipe? If the marinade does not take a bottle of oil or a huge amount of sugar, I don't even count it....And I still lost lots of weight and kept it off....

I would just quick add like 50 calories0

^^ same, guess the best you can this time.
Next time, weigh the marinade before you put in the meat. Before you dump the extra after marination weigh the remaining and subtract from original weight. That will give you a better idea.0 -
Guesstimate the best you can based on what was in the marinade. Don't sweat it too much though.0

Thanks for the responses. Since my husband is the one who did the actual grilling, I really have no idea how much he used and how much he dumped; I figure maybe two-thirds was wasted? So I adjusted my recipe to only reflect a third of the marinade per serving, and that cut out quite a bit of the carbs, sugar and sodium, but only about 50 calories in total.0
