Most stores also carry pureed canned pumpkin that isn't baby food. Just pumpkin in a can. People actually make pies out of the stuff.
Mmmmm Pie. Now I could totally get behind a pie diet.

Wired jaw diet?
AKA the Kanye West circa 2004 diet?
*every time I hear wired jaw, "Through the Wire" gets stuck in my head*
Edited: it may be 2002 instead, I can never remember for sure! #memoryfail0 -

I actually do buy canned pumpkin for a number of recipes, including chocolate pumpkin muffins. But as for baby food, even babies don't need to be eating that over-priced watery stuff. Mine didn't and my grandson isn't either.0 -
I remember people in high school talking about eating baby food, but not even my hermit crabs would touch the stuff.0

My kid refused it after a few months, could be due to her SPD, but from the ones I had to "test" for temperature, I could see why she would.0 -
I didn't find a canned one here where l live in Melbourne, Australia, but l will look again.0

One of the decisions I made when I signed up here was this: because I have a limit on my daily calories, I'm going to eat only foods I like. I am not going to waste my calories on things I don't like.
Although baby food might taste all right ... I've got enough foods I like without feeling the need to try it.0 -

No, you won't find canned pumpkin (for pies) in a grocery store here in Australia.
But there's lots of pumpkin soup!
I'm still trying to get used to the idea of eating pumpkin as a savoury food rather than a sweet food (I'm Canadian, living in Australia).

I tried the cat food diet a while back. I lost some weight but had an irresistible urge to lick my privates. It was embarrassing.1 -

My dad told me that people in his country ate dog food during the war .

I never fed jars to my kids, so why would I ever eat these things when there is real food available?0

I buy 20 cans of giant canned pumpkin a week for my dog (he loves it and helps keep him regular). I eat about a cup a day sometimes. It is really good. I like to add it to yogurt or oatmeal.0

Tutti Fruitti was awesome, as well as Hawaiian (apple/pear mix). Baby food desserts were alright. Not that I went out and bought them just for myself.0 -
No. No. Noooooo.0
-
Eww. Just no.
And I've tasted various jars of baby food (as part of a Baby Shower game, not for dietary purposes). It's vile.0 -
I dunno, the squeezy pouches of fruit puree are pretty nice, some of them anyway. I've been known to grab a 4 pack of those and split them with my 4 year old.
Would I eat any other types? Maybe, I've not tried a roast dinner in a jar to be honest, but it isn't high on my list of things to experience. We didn't buy that sort of thing for our daughter at all, she just had a smaller portion of our meals, and it's damned expensive anyway.1 -
I used to like the bananas and plums when I was a kid. I can't remember why. Probably a left over from tasting them when my sister or cousin was little? Anyway, when I was pregnant, I craved them.
I buy canned pumpkin all the time and eat it almost every day.0
