What the What??!

I'd like to share some information I received on my Facebook page this morning:

"Something that I've learned from being a farmer: grain makes you fat, grain lowers your PH (makes you acidic), grain can cause inflammation - serious inflammation. Farmers have traditionally used grain to fatten livestock, but care must be taken not to overfeed grain because it wreaks havoc with the health of the animals, and makes it really difficult to stave off illnesses.

So be super selective about your grain intake, and stop worrying so much about fat. And only eat natural fats. Rule of thumb is that the more effort it takes to make that fat ready to consume, the less of it you should eat in proportion to other fats. Seed oils are wicked hard to process, so less of those. Milkfat is fairly easy, olive oil is really easy, for example."

So I questioned this person about the scientific studies she researched in order to make these statements; I was told to read books on holistic nutrition. Sheeple....
