40 lbs down, lots of pictures!

Well I just went through a bunch of my old photos and I'm really beginning to see a difference. I started in January and since then I've lost 40 lbs! Since my highest weight though I've lost 45-50 but I never really weighed myself before. The first few pictures are from a vacation to Florida I took in November 2010 at my highest weight ever. After getting back and seeing those pictures I knew I needed to make a big change!

My wedding is on June 18th and I'm SO excited to get married to the love of my life and look great in my dress! The first picture is just one from one day before work a couple of week ago. The next picture is from my bridal shower last weekend and the last one is from my fitting on May 7th! I'm currently maintaing my weight so I don't lose anymore between now and the wedding or else my dress will be too loose. I'm really proud of myself though! I have another 70 lbs to lose to be at my goal weight and I can't wait to post pictures when I get there which I know I will!!

    I'm going to try on my dress again this weekend I think (July 23rd wedding) to see how it fits to see if I need to lose a couple more pounds or start maintaining (it was a hair tight at my last fitting and I have a little bit of room to lose, but not too much!).

    Are you worried that being in maintenance mode might make it hard to get back onto lose weight mode after the wedding? I'm a little afraid of that happening to me :/

    I thought about it but honestly it's harder to be on maintenance than I thought! I've been in the mindset of losing for so long that it's strange to eat so much and not gain. I know that I have a long way to go though so I think that will help me get back on track in terms of losing. Plus MFP is such an amazing resource that's worked so well for me I can't imagine it wouldn't continue working! Congrats on your upcoming wedding!!!

    Wow! you have made such great progress! How awesome that you have achieved so much weight loss before your wedding! You muct be stoked! You look beautiful!

    I joined for the same reason...after seeing photos of myself from a trip....ugh....sometimes that is all you need!
