Why has my weight not changed :s

So I have been doing myfp for about 1.5 weeks (I did it for months in the past) and yet again I see no movement in the scale. I'm eating 1800 cals a day am 5ft 7, 17.7 stone male. I workout 4 days a week. 3 of which are strength training.I'm trying to set my mind to half a stone minimum in 30 days as I have an even coming up. Which isn't unrealistic or shouldn't be. It's strange cause if I do slimming world I always lose at least 2lb a week. But on myfp I never do. And I weight absolutely everything to the exact gram/ounce. Could be a little water weight as abs and legs are extremely sore atm. But I don't know I guess after almost 2 weeks at my weight of trying I'd expect a change. Any suggestions???

Sore muscles from new workout routine means your body IS retaining water for muscle repair. Give it more time.0

OP you will notice as you keep lifting weights that sometimes the scale will not show what the body composition does.0

Asking, and not trying in any way to be rude here. If my math is right, half a stone is 7 lbs. And you weigh 247 lbs. What event do you have, where a 7 lb loss, off of 247 lbs, will even be noticed? Percentage wise, that is like me losing 5 lbs. I notice zero visual difference in myself with a 5 lb fluctuation. I personally think you should focus more on the long term, rather than get frustrated with short term results. How long have you been strength training, consistently? Water retention could explain not seeing a loss in the short time you have been logging on MFP.0

I've been lifting for quite a few years I'm no newbie to it but yeah I guess retention is happening atm. Considering I do workout accurately and I don't eat back calories for exercise it can't be that anyway. On a sedentary lifestyle as I'm a house husband. Maybe just retention?? Just a bit disheartening0

Well, 7 lbs over 30 days will require a calorie deficit of roughly 800 per day. If you are eating 1800 per day (properly calculated), at your height/weight/age, you should be losing.
Running a calculation, I get an estimate of 2800 calories for your TDEE. Reducing that by 20% (more can be less than ideal for many), would put you at a caloric target of 2240, and have you lose roughly 4-5 lbs per month. 7 lbs in 30 days might just be too much of a stretch.0 -
Hmm is that tdee based off of working out? Because if I miss a workout for whatever reason that of course will change. Not that I plan to just wondering if that is with or without exercise0

I selected an activity level to include 1-3 hrs of light exercise per week. If anything, this might underestimate your calorie needs, which allows for the occasional missed gym day.0 -
Ah okay, yeah my sessions are 40 mind 3x a week. 1 hour of football on a Wednesday indoor. Then the odd 1-2 mile run in between that0

It might be. Here is the link to the calculator I use, and have been successful with. Essentially, if your calorie target isn't working, you could be inaccurately measuring, incorrectly estimating activity level, eating too much, eating too little, etc. It's a constant trial and error. I myself am reassessing on account of a change to what I can do with exercise because of an injury. But this will give you a good start.
