I was thinking about runnning the Marathon this year. My Dad was telling me not to do it b/c it is really hard on your body and really beats you up. How would I train for it?

actually plenty of stuff on the net about training. but 26+ miles is a lot for the human body to do and the folks that train over 30 miles a week do the best biology wise. look up training plan in google and see if you find something that catches your eye. i saw one on there for duathalon running and bikeing they do a 12 week with rotating bike running. looked interesting.

www.racingunderground.com and look under the training section
  • a really fun, but good resource for beginner marathoners is www.marathonmagic.com . Teddy, the author, is hilarious!!

    I was directed to www.halhigdon.com

He gives free online training schedules. Hope you find one that works.
