When I hear, "Muscle weighs more than fat". Really?!? If we're discussing density, that's different, but if we're talking simply about which one weighs more....uuuuuugghhh!!!! 16 ounces of chocolate weighs EXACTLY THE SAME as 16 ounces of chicken breast.

"starvation mode" as commonly used on MFP where a body will somehow gain fat/weight in the short term from too large of a deficit doesn't even rise to the level of a myth .... it is an out right lie. Metabolic adaptation is a long term process where the body loses lean mass resulting in a lowered ability to burn calories at rest. Two very different concepts.0 -
