Exercise during Ramadan

I kind of need help.
Ramadan (the month of fasting) is coming up for me. Fasting pretty much consists of not eating from Sunrise to Sunset which is 16 hours. But I still want to exercise!
Should I exercise before eating in the morning? Or exercise after my evening meal? I don't want to risk exhausting myself since I won't be drinking water during the fast.
Any thoughts?

I went to the Islamic Association of Raleigh website (Google brought it up) and read thru the valid acts and acts that would invalidate the fast. From that minimal education, I would suggest limiting your exercise to walking, and not really much of that either. Depending on where you live, any extra exertion would lend itself to exhaustion and exacerbating the level of dehydration that you will already be in. Or perhaps you could do it after sunset, but you would still be in a hydration deficit. I'm thinking just take it easy for the month. Focus on your spiritual growth and the deepening of your relationship within your faith. The rest will come in due time.0

I usually workout before eating in the morning.Never had any problems.0

I plan to work out in the evening, a good while after breaking the fast.. But I do pilates, so it's slow paced.0

U can work out one hour before u open ur fast. I will use low weight an high reps no cardio will maintain an burn body fat. Best time to lean out. It be hard for the first few days but the body will adjust it self. Am still goin to train 6 times a week0

A question to you guys: are you allowed to take water out of the house after breaking the fast? I'm asking because I live in a muslim country at the moment, and it's too hot to go running without bringing water (around 40C after sunset). Not working out for a whole month for me on the other hand doesn't sound good either. As it's so hot I only run rounds through the gated community I live in, but it's not only Westeners living there.0

Sure you can A lot of people eat out etc after iftar time so no problem.0

Cool! Thanks a lot. It won't be a big change for me then as I wait until sunset with my running anyway, but I'll put an iftar timer of sorts on my phone. There are supposed to be canon shots but I can't hear them where I live, and I only hear the calls for prayer inside the house when I really listen to them.0

There is actually a fair amount of peer reviewed research available on this exact subject. Go to Google Scholar or another site that you can download research from and search for Ramadan and training.0
