Hi all,

I've been using the myfitnesspalapp for a while, but have never posted on the forum before. Looking to lose the last 10lbs and keep it off. I haven't really been giving it my all lately. There has been a lot of mindless snacking which is going to stop today. I have a beach vacation in just over a month, so I want to feel confident in my bathing suit. But I am not just looking to get to 115 for this vacation by any means, this is a life style change that I plan to continue with forever. After I get there, I will be working to stay conscious in eating healthy and maintain. My tools consist mostly of just clean balanced eating and a lot of cardio. I try to avoid anything processed. I try to gravitate towards mostly lean meat, veggies, fruit, and nuts. I'm far from perfect though and certainly have slip ups. But I'm hoping for them to become less frequent with more accountability on here.. Feel free to add me so we can motivate each other!

Starting weight: 133
Current weight: 125
Goal weight: 115

P.s. Does anyone know if there is any part of this forum (besides our personal tracking apps) that we can sort of use as a weight loss journal? To post on going progress and thoughts each day in type of thing.

If you open up your diary to 'everyone', more people can look and offer advice on daily eating/exercise..

The biggest tip I can give is to make sure you are logging everything as accurately as possible by weighing all fods on scales in grams.

also, don't just trust the MFP exercise calories for cardio. Sometimes they are well off and give you more back than they should

i agree with the last post: I'm working on the last ten pounds too, and i have to measure and weigh, even tho i don't want to. I also do not trust MFP calories spent on cardio ;) for that matter, i think it overestimates my BMR too! you may want to consider some muscle building (doesn't have to be weight lifting, can use bodyweight)

two community threads i've found VERY useful: under "motivation and support"
    1: "just for today"
2: monthly weight-loss challenge (set a goal, and post your weight and challenges/successes weekly)
i also really benefit from the gratitude thread, but that's my personality.

hope this helps. congrats for your accomplishments so far
