To slim, run a calorie deficit. To strengthen, incorporate resistance training of some sort. What are you doing now?

urg i know that feeling. I have arms that should be on someone double my size. sad thing is there's no real way to target them. I do cardio, watch what i eat and of course do a lot of weight training on them. hopefully they start to slim soon but im afraid it will be one of the last spots to slim down lol

What's calorie deficit? And just repetitive low weights and yoga

Based on your activity level, age, and weight your body requires a certain number of calories to maintain status quo. A calorie deficit is when you eat less than that number, causing you to lose weight. MFP, when you create your profile, helps guide you to what that number should be.

Basically you need to burn more calories than you consume.

Up your weights, make it where you are able to complete 10 full reps and complete 3 sets. If you arent sore the next day, its not working lol. the more muscle mass you have the more calories you will burn at rest. Also dont forget to do cardio.

Patience. I lost all my weight and got stronger but my arms were still just there. Two more years of consistent strength training and weight maintenance and bulk and cut cycles and I'm finally pretty happy with them!

Soreness isn't indicative of agood workout or not.
