5'8 135lbs but everyone will carry their weight a little differently0

I'm 5'9 too and have a goal set, at the moment, for 160. I'm around 195 now and was 175 when I got married and felt I looked much better in clothes. I'm so glad to hear from other women who have a similar issue...being tall and weighing in very high. Any time I tell someone my weight they are in disbelief that I weigh as much as I do. Medical health professionals included!0

I'm 5'8 1/2 and my initial goal is 150. I'm at 185 now and I'm already starting to look better in clothes (down from 250 at my biggest). My face looks better too.

I'm 5'10 pushing 5'11 and my goal weight is 130. I reached that goal several years ago and felt great but managed to gain and am sitting at 140. I'm lifting this time around and the scale is barely moving so I am trying not to obsess about getting back to a certain number. Mainly focused on how my clothes fit. Easier said than done0

I'm 5'9" and quite heavier then most of you it seems. Right now my goal is to get down to 190. If once I hit that goal, I want to push for more, I will. Right now, after being obese literally my entire life, 190 would be a huge victory, lol. At this point, I don't know what my 190 body will look like, or what my composition will be when I get there.0

I'm 5'10" and I felt my absolute best when I was 150 a couple of years ago, but I'm setting my goal around 160lbs. I'm currently 167 and started from 176 in the beginning of April.0

I'm 5'9"/5'10", and my goal weight is 145. I'm at 164 pounds and 37% body fat right now, and just started yesterday! According to the body fat calculator, if I want 25% body fat, I should shoot for 137 pounds.0

I'm 5'9, and my current goal is to get down to 168.8 (healthy BMI), but then my ultimate goal after that will be 159, which should be between 22-25% body fat.0

I'm 5'9" my goal for now is 180. I know doctors say for this height I should be at 160. When I did weigh that much I could fit my entire are through a roll of duct tape all the way to my shoulder and strangers would ask me if I had eating disorders. Rude! I enjoyed my body and the way closed looked on me when I was 180.0

I'm 5'9". Initially, my goal weight was 165, but I then changed it to 150, which is where I'm currently sitting. I just went through a bulk and cut. At the beginning of the bulk I was 150 and a size 8, at the end of the cut I'm back to 150 pounds but I'm shockingly a size 4. Body composition is so much more important than what you actually weigh, IMHO. Currently, I'm focused more on BF% than scale weight. I'm currently at about 24% and would like to get down to 20 or 21%.0

I'm 5'8" and currently weigh 157 lbs with a goal of 150. Last time I saw my doctor they said my goal was still "high". Honestly I feel good where I am at and I'm shocked at how dramatic the change has been. When I hit my goal I will have lost 40 lbs. I have a feeling I will be about a size 6 or maybe a 4 at goal.0

Instead of focusing on what other people your height would like to weigh (we all have different goals) why not focus on what you want. If you focus is on appearance, then you probably already have a number in mind. If your focus is on a particular sport, this is what helped me:
1. Find your favorite sport on these charts:

2. Use the BMI data of the top athletes in your sports of choice to compute an ideal weight based on your height. Obviously if your focus is on the shot put your goal weight will be higher than a long distance runner0 -
You need to be happy with how you look and feel more than any number on the scale or what anyone else thinks you should weigh. I am 5'10" & got down to 152 but felt I was too thin. I have built muscle mass & have more definition and am happy with how I look and feel. I have been comfortably maintaining around 160-165. Now focusing on body fat % & core definition.0

I'm 5'9" and 126lbs, it all depends on muscle mass. i've gotta hit the weights0

You need to ignore BMI, especially as you approach your ideal weight, and look at Body Fat %. I had myself hydrostatically weighted, and found that, because I have a long torso and short limbs, and because I evidently have some MUSCLES hidden under the rolls, my BMI will still be in the OBESE range when my Body Fat is ideal. (On the day he won Mr. Universe, Arnold Schwarzenegger also had a BMI in the OBESE range. I'm not saying I'm Ah-nold. But that is a fact.)0

I'm 5'9 and my goal weight is 150. I'm 172 right now and I started from 191. I seem to carry all my weight on my lower body because I can get away with wearing size small tops but I'm still in between 8 and 10 with my pant sizes.0

I'm 5'9" and my goal weight is 145. I'd say I'm medium-framed. For me, that's a loose size 10, a snug 8. I was an 8 in high school, but 130 lbs.0

My goal weight at 42 years old is 165.0

5'10" and honestly I want to weigh 128-135. /: maybe I'll be happy at 145ish.0

At 5'10" and 54 years old my goal is 182, about 8 more pounds. I've been holding at 190 for 3 weeks but firming up because my clothes are fitting better0

5'9" 62yo 145#
I don't want to go below 140 (unless a tummy tuck repairs age & weight loss issues). And reaching 150 triggers a desire to lose (unless I build more muscle).0
