    I'm a somewhat shy person in public. I rarely take a selfie when someone else can see me. I have taken a selfie with a friend, but even then I feel self conscious. I can see a benefit to this thing only when photographing a group of people, so that one person doesn't feel left out.

    But to use it just for me? No thank you. Too obvious.

    Well the majority of the tourists were Chinese, these selfie sticks were obviously made in the U.S.A.

    I used to be chinese…so maybe I should get one

    Haven't used one, but who cares if someone does. Geez some people like to judge somebody for something small like this. I would witness someone using a selfie stick than watching someone putting someone down. I may buy a selfie stick just because of this post.
