I read somewhere that it might not be ideal for women, though, for hormonal reasons0 -
I don't like to do it as a planned activity but I'm pretty sure I regularly fast for 12 hours due to sleep and delaying breakfast
It might give a psychological boost but not a metabolic one
Fasting for those who do it is a way to keep weekly calories in check
Those are my thoughts

This might be a bit off topic to what you're saying, but I find going to sleep feeling hungry increasing the overnight fast boosts my weightloss and also helps me eat a good substantial breakfast in the morning to start the day. Personally, I highly recommend it, although I'm aware some people maybe averse to the idea...0

What I'm seeing is you skip breakfast once a week. Is that correct?
I don't eat till 12pm every day, but I drink tea with milk up until then, so I wouldn't call it fasting.0 -
