Radioactive

So, I'm getting a DEXA (dual energy x-ray absorptiometry) scan tomorrow to get a good estimate of my body fat, lean body mass, and bone density.
Besides any comments on that, I always wondered, as x-rays are radiation, should I try carrying some kind of insect or arachnid with me to see if I can get super powers from its bite afterwards?
I mean, obviously spiders are the classic example here, but I'm really thinking of going with the humble ant for the 50x body weight lifting capacity. Thoughts, suggestions?

Well, if I could feel it, I would in fact feel it in my bones.

I'm sure there's an ant out there that would like a DEXA, too, and bite you in trade. Have you tried Craigslist?
