has anyone tried the 3 week diet by Brian Flatt?
I've just started today and I'm curious if there are any success stories?

what happens at week 4?
Edit: I just googled it. It sounds like a scam. It's something you pay for and get "diet books" to read over. Save your money.0 -
Nah, I'm trying that other diet called CICO! You should check it out, it really works!0

I'm going to do it, but with wine.0

Never heard of it.
Let me guess...3 weeks of "resetting your metabolism", "flushing the toxins from your system", etc etc?0 -

Author Brian Flatt makes no secret of the fact that this diet ultimately uses tricks on the body; forcing it into starvation mode round-the-clock and allows users to lose 1-2 pounds every day
If he is stupid enough to think that starvation mode is real in this context then I'm not listening to anything else he has to say.0 -

It claims to help you lose 1lb of body fat PER DAY. Also, the author is apparently certified in everything, yet one website cannot find credentials supporting that, or the claims that millions of people have lost 30lbs of fat and inches during the diet.0 -

Wait...I thought "starvation mode" caused the body to hold on to every calorie and NOT lose weight.
Clearly Mr. Flatt needs to come to the MFP forums to get edu-ma-kated.0 -

The word diet is silly. It is a lifestyle change that cannot be completed in 3 weeks so this (and anything claiming to make you lose all the weight in 3 weeks) is a scam to take your money. Just count your calories, make sure you are eating at a deficit and you will lose weight. It will most definitely take longer than 3 weeks but when you don't fall off the wagon from doing horrible things to your body in those 3 weeks and gain all the weight back (and probably plus some) you will be grateful. Good luck to you.0

You really don't have to put yourself through that fad diet. Just set up your diary on here and start tracking what you eat. You can do it and you don't have to cut out grains or anything else to do it. Just lower your calorie intake to less than you burn and hey presto weight loss. Good luck on your journey.0 -
Thanks all for the insight. Much appreciated.0
