I think European countries are the best for living, especially Germany and the Netherlands.

I love it here. Greatest country in the world.
If it is sinking, I'm going down with this ship.

Spain is a fantastic country. My brother lives there and loves it. BUT, things are rough -- the last reported unemployment rate is 23% and it has been that way for many, many years.

We have our problems here, but overall I'm happy. Could be much worse off. If I had to be somewhere else, maybe Ireland?

I would just find myself an island somewhere, conquer it and make it my own.

    I'm here to stay.

I don't really get the loyalty or hatred of the US by Americans. It's just the place most of us happened to be born. It's fine - certainly not perfect, but it could be worse. I have no urge to hop on the next plane out of here, but I don't have an American flag flying in front of my house either.

I always hated living in Australia, but now that I live in Canada, I've realised how good Australia really is, despite the super high cost of living our higher wages make up for it, and I can get over the horrible shippings costs.

    So homesick :(

I thought this was another joke thread asking if the US dropped into the ocean where in the world would you go. Either I'm wrong (which does happen rarely) or some people are very sensitive.

If you can do dessert you might can do mars. You could establish your country but it may be lonely.

That's totally what it is, but it appears to have raised the hackles of at least a few persons for whom reading comprehension is specious, at best.

I love America. Always have, always will. Warts and all. But I'm also quite happy living here in Austria for the last 8 years. It's a very inviting standard of living and great place to raise a family (though I also recognize the problems here and acknowledge them as well).

    So... Austria...
