No. Consuming too many calories will keep you from losing weight. If a glass of milk or a dish or rice fits in your calorie goals then it is fine.0 -
Milk isn't ideal for nutrition. Nevertheless, it's better than milk substitutes like soja milk oder rice milk. They are highly denaturalized and very unhealthy.0

Neither the rice nor the milk is causing weight gain. You are gaining weight due to too much food overall.
Do you weigh solid foods and measure liquids? Log everything you eat?
I suggest that you learn portion control throughout your diet.
By the way, when I was a kid my mother used to make rice, add butter, cinnamon, sugar, and milk to it, and it was breakfast. I still love mom's concoction.0 -

Certain foods in and of themselves do not cause weight gain or loss.0 -

Open up your diary.
I like milk. You having full fat? Semi skimmed? Skimmed? 100ml or a pint? Or a gallon or a thimble?

LOL.
Milk is find. Not a thing wrong with it.
Soy milk and rice milk are fine, just as is hazelnut, coconut, hemp, almond milk.

23 years old is what her profile says.
Ah, pretty sure you are done growing, OP. I personally don't drink milk, but if you like it and it fits in your goals, go for it.
Heh, at 23 your only growing out, not up. LOL0 -

It definitely depends whether it fits into your ideal daily calorie intake or not. I put on masses of weight, when I got a taste for lattes! It wasn't the fault of the lattes but the fact they took me to almost twice my daily allowance (I drank a lot of coffee). Most things are fine within reason (makes for a more balanced diet). Too much of one thing displaces room for other nutrients but it doesn't sound like you are consuming an extreme of milk.0
