Everyone always talks about the health benefits of almonds, pistachios, etc but I rarely hear anything about peanuts. i am just wondering if they are just as good for you. They are alot cheaper and in my opinion more filling.

Yes, peanuts have as many health benefits as other nuts.

Oh, as this is MFP and because, peanuts are not technically a nut.

"... 'nut' specifically refers to indehiscent fruit, the peanut is not technically a nut,[4] but rather a legume." (Arachis hypogaea)

You mind reader... I was going to say that, when I read it... Just think of the peanut as a bean... They are high in carbs, but if that's not a concern, not a problem... Other nuts, walnuts, pecans, almonds, etc. Are not as high when considering weight/volume, that's all...
