Has anyone else done Forever Living Clean 9?

I've been doing MFP since February and have been losing slowly but surely. I wanted to boost my loss as going on a break this weekend, so I'm on day 6 of the Clean 9 & have lost 4lb in 6 days making total loss since Feb 11.4lb. I don't normally agree with crash type diets but I'm so pleased that I'm now under 9 stone after months of hovering above 10.

Really now?
There is no need to ever 'cleanse' .. what are you cleansing your body of?
How many calories are you eating a day? How many carbs? And you're paying what $150 for the pleasure of stripping your body of glycogen and associated water weight (which you could do by reducing carbs to under 100g and watching sodium)?

Once I've finished this on Thursday I'll be going strictly back on MFP & ensuring I stay under the carb & fat limits. I know a lot of MFP members won't approve, but I only did this to lose a large amount of weight as it's my wedding anniversary at the end of the month & we're going away. I've also upped the amount of exercise I do & have started eating about 3 x more fruit & veg plus drinking water - I only used to drink tea/coffee, so there'll be some positives that come out of it as I intend to stick to water & herbal tea because I found I don't even miss normal tea or coffee.0

If only there were some tool by which people could track dates so that they didn't get caught by surprise that an annual event is only a month away. A person could probably make a lot of money if she could figure some way of marking the days and months in a year.1

The aim of MFP is to hit your goals, not fall short of them. Carb intake is largely personal preference, but fat is an essential part of the diet. Be mindful not to drop this too low as it is vital for good health.0 -
I mean not go over the limits, I won't be silly about it0

And you'll immediately gain back the weight you've lost because ti was all water weight from limiting the nourishment your body needs.0 -
The general consensus about these cleanses is that you're losing water weight and glycogen (as rabbitjb pointed out).
So, congratulations. You lost some numbers on a scale, some bloating, and $150. Your amount of body fat has likely not dropped any more than it would've if you had stuck to your deficit eating (for free).0 -
That was a waste of money.
OP just eat reasonable deficit and workout, boom weight loss.
Good luck.0 -

Hi Becky, congrats on your upcoming wedding anniversary.
I advise that you chuck this quick fix nonsense, continue using your MFP tools as you have been doing, and enjoy your time with you hubby, who I'm sure loves you very much.
Also, this thing about upping your fruit and vegetables 3x what they are now--why? They have calories too.0 -

I only did this because my husband frequently asks me what weight I was when we got married 8 years ago. I took that as a big hint that I needed to do something drastic about being a size 12-14 whereas I was a size 8 when we met. Because of this my self-esteem's very low. I've lost 12lb in total since February - mostly the healthy way through MFP.0

why? if he thought you were over weight he would have probably come right out and said it.
According to the men in my life "men don't talk code"....
But again as others have mentioned that 4lbs of water/glycogen will probably be back shortly...it was like when I went on vacation and ate a lot, drank a lot and came home 7lbs heavier...lost 4 in less than 2 weeks cause it was water weight...easy come easy go...but reverse that in your case.0 -
Did forever living clean 1-8 not work?0

My co worker did this the other week. I had a sniff of that Aloe Vera Gel, it smells like vomit.0

I started the C9 on Good Friday - I have been playing at losing weight I think and needed something to focus my mind and give me a kick start. The gel I thought tasted and smelled like hospital hand wash however you do get used to it. I did lose weight during these 9 days (12lbs and 7"), I got a new programme at the gym and came straight on to MFP the day I finished C9. I have continued to lose weight although I thought 2000 calories a day was far too high and reduced that to 1600 which seems about right. I can lose anything from 1-3 lbs a week. I have stayed off drinking coffee - i think a lot of my calories were in those drinks and this has definitely helped with my weight loss. Best of all my cholesterol level has reduced to 4.3 from 5.2.1
