Dang I weigh myself it said I was 263 but I weigh 255 I gain 8 not good I was doing so well

What time frame are you talking about? One day to the next? The same day? A week later?0

Well I just weigh this morning and I weigh 2630

It could be water retention from salty foods, weighing yourself later in the day will cause you to weigh more than in the morning, that time of your month can cause significant weight gain, if you have recently started exercising and weight training your body will appear heavier because of water and other nutrients needed for muscle repair, or if you had to take a new or different medicine will cause your weight to grossly fluctuate.
I wouldn't stress over it too much because if it is any one of those things or a combination, it will be gone in a manner of a few days. I had a week were on Monday I was at a low and by Friday I had gained almost 9 pounds with normal eating and exercising and lost it by Sunday, but I think it is due to hormones and medicines given to me for bronchitis.

Do you weigh yourself every day? Every week? Did you drink alcohol or really salty and/or carby food yesterday? I know I can pretty easily see the scale go up by 4 lbs overnight if I eat a salty meal the day before. Or if I go overboard with my exercise, I can "gain" 2 lbs or so overnight. Unless you ate 28,000 calories more than MFP said to, you didn't actually "gain" weight.0

If you want real advice, you need to post with actual details and start logging your food and weighing it. If you just want validation, you're not going to get it because it doesn't seem like you're trying all that strictly.0

I am gaining but from exercise?! Which is such a bummer, but I can see results in my shape (definition is appearing!!) so I am keep on at it!!!0

trust you are eating more than you think. I always thought I wasnt eating very much and when I started logging I realize I was so wrong.0

You don't gain from exercise unless you are still eating too much. Eat at a modest calorie deficit and continue to exercise and you will see even more amazing results!!!

What does "trying hard" mean? Really wanting to lose weight and thinking about it a lot is not the same as planning nutritious food choices and weighing/logging everything accurately. I'd try that for a few weeks and come back and check in.0

I would agree with the advice of shell1005. Log consistently. I don't worry if I go over your 'calorie budget'. It is there as a guideline. It is there to see what foods are 'calorie expensive'. You need more than one sample of weight to see progress. Keep on going, keep on recording. Review the results in a few months. Give it time to work.0

I'm barely 178 pounds and I have the same problems... Believe it or not, I was 186 pounds two days ago... So frustrating. I think I just can't eat processed junk or salty things.. or too much sugar. I came back on myfitnesspal and lost almost 10 pounds in 2-3 days. That's not fat, it's water retention, and undigested food.
Try to drink more water and try to cut down processed food. And maybe sweat a little every day. I always recommend walking. I was a fat kid and I lost more than 60 pounds over a decade ago just by walking a lot everyday.
Don't give up, you're worth it.0 -
