Hi everyone
I've just started my meal plans for my work lunches. Getting 502 calories from 200g chicken breast 200g potatoes 200g mixed veg
Does that sound like a good start for meal plans? I'm allowed 2020 calories daily to bring me back down to my 12 stone goal
Thanks

Sounds good to me, but is there any fat in this meal?0

O yeah sorry I should mention I've got a couple of light snacks that get my fats in. Any ideas why I feel like I'm eatting more? Lol. Like I said I've set my count to the calories needed to get me down to 12 stone but I feel I'm eatting more then before :S having said that I was definatly eatting the wrong foods before... Takeaways where a regular0

Chicken, potatoes and veg sounds a little dry... No sauce? No gravy? No Yorkshire pudding and stuffing balls?0

I wish! But no lol0

Why not? Why not add butter to your potatoes? Are you cooking them? I can't imagine cooked potatoes with nothing on them. I think they'd be dry and hard to swallow, not to mention bland. I could eat a raw potato that way but I'm not sure about 200 g of it.0

Honestly, it would be tough for me to eat that much food just to get 500 measly calories (7 ounces of dry chicken?!? 7 ounces of dry vegetables!?!). I'd definitely cook the chicken in olive oil or throw some butter on the vegetables (or eat some cheese with it!) to cut down on the volume I had to eat. (Granted, I'm a short-ish woman, YMMV.)0

I'm boiling the potatoes and don't really mind the taste at the moment lol I can't use all the above when I start to get bored though0

You are sucking the joy out of potatoes. I may go eat a stick of butter to bring the joy back (kidding)0

If you people are eating dry chicken, you're cooking it wrong.0

Plain would be a better word perhaps.0 -

"plain" chicken vs. "dry" chicken? I've found another regional quirk in my dialect!0

Sounds about right for an occasional meal or two...though I would need and want a lot more flavor and variety over the long term.0
