I definitely do not agree with it. ...its not the easy way out but I think it's extreme to put your body through it. What's wrong with healthy living and exercise? ? Glad you are okay but quick fixes never last.

It sure wasn't a quick fix. I was almost ready for a bed because I could barely walk. I was so depressed and I was working and me and my doctor looked at the best choices with all my health problems. For me, this was less risky than anything at that time.

The surgery went well, I am eating healthy, exercising, changed many behaviors, mental, and physical, and 17 years later I am maintaining my weight from 321 to 120/114.

This was suppose to be for support not a bash thread. You all have the right to your opinion and I do appreciate your view points!

Yes I survived. It was a very dangerous option at the time. I was on the verge of dying anyway but having the surgery I was high risk because of high blood pressure and being morbidly obese.

I'm sorry you didn't like my adjective! I like your analogy! ha ha

Definitely not a "quick fix." I had gastric bypass on March 19th.

Maintaining at 114lbs. Impressive. I'm one year out from my bypass. Have you found this group?

I recently started it but so far a few critics! If you know of people, we could have a great group!
