Any idea why Map My Run says I ran X mph while, once synced, MFP says I ran Y mph? Why aren't they the same?

I power walk at 4.5 mph tracked by Runkeeper, but when it synchs, MFP reports it as 3.0 mph; however, the estimated Calories reported from Runkeeper transfer with no change. That is how it has been for two years now. I only care about the estimated Calories. :igotnothingelsetoadd:

MFP only has broad categories for speed on its runs. Map My Run measures your actual speed. When it syncs over to MFP, it picks the closest category...

My running speeds transfer from Runkeeper to MFP pretty much spot on for the same mph. There are walking speeds from 2.5 mph in 0.5 mile increments in MFP up to 5.0 mph; however, Runkeeper synchs to MFP at 3.0 mph every time no matter what my walking speed is.
