Hope everyone had a great start to the new year. Don't worry if you post late, I always go back and read them the next day.

Yesterday, I went on an hour bike ride and 30 min walk. Today - maybe more bike riding? We have two really nice days today and tomorrow, before it gets cold again. I'm also going to rake my leaves (about time, huh?). I might wear my HRM while doing this just to see.

Happy workouts!

Mary

Last two days it was too cold to go out. I settled for a little house work. Also just finished the last of the years parties. Way to many of them. But I am getting my waters in and eating better today. I know I gained alot of weight over the holiday but that was my own poor choices and I'm going to own them. I will just get started again. I did it once and I can continue as I was going. Tomorrow will be my year of 2009 official weigh in and measuring. Then I start my plan all over. Wish me luck.

My butt is soooo sore today due to all the lunges I did yesterday, including the ones you do on your toes. :noway: I love being sore though. I know changes are coming that way!

Today I'll be doing an hour of Kenpo. Ahh it's gonna feel good!

It's one of the cd's in the P90x set. A lot of martial arts type stuff. It's one of my favorites!

Today it's back to bikram. Hopefully I'll sweat out the last of my inappropriate New Year's Eve behavior.

Also, I need to make a new chart for my workouts. .. I think the way I'm going to track is a goal of 3 cardio, 2 weights and 2 yoga (although 3 would be nice) and then just do them on sort-of-planned days. Essentially, I'm trying to concentrate on getting those workouts in, and if that means a day or two here and there of "doubling" up workouts, then that's what I'll try to do. It's all part of trying to be more adaptable in general (right now I get really upset if my schedule changes in the least little way. . .not good)

    Take care of yourselves!:flowerforyou:

Mary, I am so jealous of your nice weather. A bike ride outside sounds like a slice of heaven. . .

Thanks - I'll get on their website and check it out. I've been thinking about investing in Chalene Xtreme or P90x. Everyone seems to be talking about how good they are.

Hi everyone - I am procrastinating from my project right now so I will have to make this one quick. I did get a walk in after lunch (we have a goofy route around the building and through various hallways and stairways for the winter months), but then I also caved and ate 3 of the truffles my co-worker brought in (made by his wife). Man, I adore truffles. But I think that I feel a lot more hungry when I am eating more sugar, so I really need to cut back on that during the day (one piece of dark chocolate before bed is OK).

    It's the weekend! :drinker: :flowerforyou:

Hello, everyone. I'm not doing so well:grumble: , but I know I can get back on track:tongue: . My exercising is great. The usual 2 hours every Monday through Friday morning from 4:30 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. Warm up, stretches, weights, and spin class. It's my eating that is getting me  . Got to reign it back in! So, my goals are to keep up the exercise (at least I can be proud of that), get back to moderation with my eating, and keep up with my food and exercise diaries.

The weekends are the hardest for me :explode: . I've just got to behave like I have some sense. I know I can do this. I have been doing this. I've just got to be kind to myself and deal with it!

    Thanks for listening.:blushing:

snuck in a quick 3 mile run between jobs today. I guess waiting tables counts too since I never get a break or sit down for anywhere from 7-12 hours! Just scarfed down my dinner and will head to bed so I can do it all over again this weekend...

I'm 2/2 on the new year with my workouts
