I posted a topic a couple of weeks ago about how hard it is for me to give enough water. Many of you suggested getting either flavored packets or flavored water and drinking that instead. I have taken your advice and purchased two boxes of propel zero flavoring packets. However, I am worried about how healthy this is. I know that the flavorings can't be completely natural, but this looks like it has a lot of chemicals and such in it. If I had about 1 packet every day, would that affect my health at all? Also, would it be healthier/more economical to buy these packets or to buy pre-flavored bottles of water, like aquafina flavor splash? Thanks for the help!

I imagine it's the same kinds of chemicals flavoring the pre-bottled stuff, too. Whatever it takes to get you drinking more is good, and you can slowly wean yourself off the flavorings.

Correct, they aren't natural. They are the same type of sweetener found in diet drinks of all types (saccharine or aspartame). MANY people drink this chemical and claim no side effects. Some folks claim an increased appetite for sweets, or stomach cramping. I suggest looking at the chemicals on the ingredient list and doing an internet search for some information. You can read for yourself about them and make an informed decision as to whether or not you'd like to drink that product.

Personally, I love water. Plain and simple water. I hope that you can learn to love it plain, someday :)
