I just started a swim team ! I'll be swimming 90 min per day .
Has anyone had any amazing results with moderate to fast paced swimming?
I really hope so. I need to be careful on my joints !

you lose weight by eating less calories than your body burns. if you swim for 90 min and still eat more than you body burns you will not lose weight you will gain weight. You need to focus on eating in a calorie deficit. You can use the swimming as tool for lose weight a little fast but without a calorie deficit it wont matter how long and hard you swim for.0

True, weight loss is a result of eating at a caloric deficit. However, if you combine that with a frequent swimming routine, you should definitely see results much quicker. The same could be said for any exercise, really, but swimming is a great way to work the majority of your muscles. Just be careful... I usually feel ravenous after swimming. Don't fall into the trap of overeating!0

Sure. Swimming 90 minutes is going to burn a lot of calories. Just make sure you don't eat more than you burn and you'll lose weight. Swimming is a great full body toning exercise and really helps the heart to stay healthy. Swimteam is awesome!! I was on one my entire childhood/teen years. Great way to keep in shape, or lose weight.0

Swimming is a great fat burning exercise that works all of the major muscle groups and strengthens as well as burning fat. Obviously, you still have to eat less than you burn, but the burn from swimming makes it much easier to do that.0

As everyone else as stated Swimming ( any exercise ) will help in your weight loss, but the cold hard truth is that our bodies are made in the Kitchen, but tuned / toned up by exercise. I have had great success by using swimming as my major exercise with a mix of running, yoga, pickup Basketball/Volleyball leagues as part of my routine. Get out there and do it girl.
