Hi everyone! I'm new to the site and excited about keeping track of my nutrition and exercise. I could use some friends to help motivate and challenge me. I recently had gastric bypass surgery and need to keep track of all nutrition and exercise. This site will help motivate me and keep me accountable with eating the right foods and moving my body.

Hi, I am trying to get back on track. I have 15 lbs to lose. I have no help at home. My hubby is big and loves to eat. I am trying to lose this weight, but need some support. I am to the point where am getting depressed, but don't' want to go there. So, Need to talk with other's to keep on track.
My name is Barbara. I am 57 years old. I work at a sit-down job for 8 1/2 hours a day. I have lupus, but I can go to the gym in the morning before work. This week I didn't go to the gym. Why? stupid reason, I did't lose any wt from going from the last 2 weeks so I quit. Lame-OOOOO. Ok, got to do this. any one want to connect. Really not this depressed all the time. I was an ex-anorexic so wt really bothers me. (trust me I am not under wt. I am 5"2" and 140 lbs right now, my goal wt is 125 and it is within reason, but i am not doing it.....

I figure if I am at a sit down job all day, do you think I should go protein diet? low carb is a no brainier... what do you people think?

Barbara, I just started filling out my food chart. I can't eat much right now and am limited to what I can eat/drink, because of my surgery. However, I am supposed to make sure I'm getting an adequate amount of protein which for the most part isn't a problem. So for now, my diary may be a bit lean without much variety.

Also, I think you are in the right place to get the motivation that you need. I know it's not easy to continue when you see little or no results. But, if you just keep doing what you know is right, eventually you'll get the results you desire. You need to get your husband on the same page, eating healthy and exercising would benefit his health as well.
