When I do a 30 minute circuit training, do I count the 30 seconds between rounds or do I just count the 20 minutes of actual workout time?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I personally count it as 30 minutes. Not sure if right or not, but I don't sit in between. I move a little or stretch or something.0

Odds are your heart rate is elevated most (if not all) of that 30 minutes, so I'd count it all. I would just caution you on MFP's "Circuit Training" calculations, as they seem to be awfully generous with calories burned. When I pushed hard during circuit training and use an HRM I burn anywhere from 9-11 kcal/min. MFP thinks I burn about 14-15 which is way too high.0

But during recovery it is elevated for a different reason than an HRM or calorie estimator would assume. Those calculators assume you are moving the entire time. Even with an elevated HR after your workout for say 5 mins, you the extra burn above maintenance would be next to nothing. An HRM would say otherwise as it thinks you are still working out.0 -

FYI: HRMs are not accurate for circuit training. the calculation embedded in them assumes steady state cardio... anything else and the cals burned will be over inflated.0
