Long Strech...No Scale!!!

I find I do better with weight loss when I don't step on a scale every week, so I like to set deadlines. With June starting this week I will be starting a 4 month strecth that will end with me stepping on a scale on Oct. 1st also known as my 25th Birthday. The hope is to get as close to my 50lb goal as much as I can.

I'm the same exact way, when i don't have a scale I do so much better. I have until the end of August

Good for you and best of luck! I'm a scale addict. I keep telling myself I'll check once a week (like I should), but every morning, I step on. I can't help it!0

I was getting to the point of weighing myself most days, and finally decided it's counter productive. I've now got together with some friends on Facebook, and we have a weekly weigh in wherever we are, and post our current weight and how much we've lost/gained.
I find it helpful to do something like this, as at least this way I'm accountable to somebody else other than me (although my accountability to myself is always going to be the most important).
Using Facebook works for us because there's no way we could all attend the same slimming club (I live in New Zealand, they all live in various parts of England).0 -
Im glad to hear I am not alone. I just hate the feeling of stepping on a scale one day, it showing I lost 1lb and then the next day saying I gained 2lbs.0
