Hey everyone!!! I'd love to do a 10 pound challenge with you all!! That's exactly what I'm aiming for and I've been looking for support and buddies, feel free to add me!!
Is anyone here doing intermittent fasting as a part of their weight loss journey? That's what I'm looking to do paired with MFP and tracking my food and exercise
I'd love to find other people working on intermittent fasting too for support

    Greetings all!
I do like this board because I feel a little whiny talking about ten pounds on boards where folks are (bless their hearts!) trying to lose more than 100! It's nice to meet a few people who are tackling something a little less daunting and get some support. My day went well: I dropped another pound. But tonight I have company and all that goes with that... Wish me luck! I'm off for a morning run so I at least get that in. (I'm an evening runner so this feels like a sacrifice!)

I hope you all have a wonderful day. Don't forget to appreciate how marvelous you are today!

So, how did it go last night? Having company is so tough on the diet. You make things for others and then try not to eat them yourself and then there are the dreaded leftovers. That's my nightmare. I grab cold leftovers out of the fridge the next day and oh well, enough said!

I'm looking to lose about 14 pounds... so a little bit more than 10, but not far off. I'm feeling pretty optimistic about it. I've done well sticking to my calories recently, and I know that if I can do it for a couple of days then I can do it for a couple of months :)

Hang in there. I'm in the same boat as you. A little more than 10 would be lovely. I've already lost about 8. It gets exciting and easier to stick to after you start losing. I put on a few things from my closet that I haven't been able to wear for a while and it feels great! : )

My problem is weekends. Dinner out and drinks. I go up 2 pounds and back down by Friday. I know I need to make better choices.

Need to lose 10 to 12 pounds.

Those words could have come straight out of my own mouth. Lol Aahh the weekends. Full of food and drinks....

It's day one for me! The tough part is that I have no close by friend to go to the gym with me, but tons of them for fun dinners and drinks... I need to feel pushed and committed and I hope getting to know people here will help ;)

I feel the same. All my hometown friends want to party and I just want to go to the gym and eat healthy things....and shop!

Low fat vs low carb. Which is more sustainable.

Yikes! I've been out of pocket--and will disappear again at the end of the week. The bad news is that losing weight while traveling is VERY hard. The good news is that I haven't piled any more on! I'm still sitting four pounds over what I'd like to be, but feeling very good about my body. I'm home now for a few days and it feels like a luxury to be able to run my favorite trail run. My legs are burning this morning and I love it! I'm sending positive vibes your way. My favorite super low-cal foods right now are cantaloupe and steamed carrots! (Lots of orange, I know.) What are yours?

Back again! And I am finished traveling for a while. No good news in the weight department. My travels consisted of eating lots of desserts, drinking lots of wine, and getting some--but not nearly enough exercise. I am finally home and back at it! My current favorite foods are summer squash sauteed with onion and mushrooms (and really anything else). It is a great combination! Hope everyone is doing well. :)

Hey! My latest hack: cut the oil WAY back. Last night I sauteed a huge pan of onions, summer squash, mushrooms, and spinach in a nonstick wok in 1/4 tsp. olive oil and it was terrific. I added some freshly ground pepper, crushed garlic, and a little salt--Voila! Nothing else needed and SO good. From now on I am an oil minimalist!

Wao... that's good diet hacks right there.
Ig of fat is 9kcal and it's 4 each for carbs and protein. So, less oil, less calories.
I seem to be stuck. I cut down on my cals as I wasn't losing. But, now I just have less energy for a vigorous workout.
So, thinking about sticking to 2 days a week with stregth and lil cardio a

Have you looked at the nutrition reports to see if you were coming up short? I just recently discovered how many good reports MFP to analyze how I am doing from a nutrition standpoint. I've found with super "dense" foods, I can keep my numbers good even with fewer calories.
