Oatmeal and Brown Rice

I've been trying hard to ear healthier, and to some extent I've succeeded. I've managed to start liking salad, and I've cut butter, oil, and mayo out of my diet almost entirely. Fried foods, including homemade are all a thing of the past. I've never been a large soda fan, so that wasn't hard to cut out.

But I can't get myself to like brown rice or oatmeal, no matter how I try to hide it. I don't like relying only on potato and whole wheat foods for my only complex carbs.

Anyone have any ideas? Granola is almost edible, can anyone help with recipes that don't take a lot of oil or butter?
