Signed up for Apple Music (free 90 day), under NEW they have playlists made. About 10 workout lists from rap to heavy metal. I use electronic for cardio, metal for weights, and rap on lower/ab days.

Currently rotating The Prodigy's 'The Day Is My Enemy' and Children Of Bodom's 'Holiday at Lake Bodom' (compilation/best of). The former is good because it's not too cerebral, the latter because if you time a deadlift to the line 'I don't give a *kitten* if you hate me' you feel awesome.

Aside from that, I like to listen to S club 7 while lifting, for some reason. :)

If you have an iPhone update it. The new music app has pre made playlists for a variety of situations. The workout ones are awesome and you can save them for offline use. Free 3 month trial right now.

Depends on the genere but I'm a big fan of the prog metal songs. They are so long sometimes you forget how long you've been working out for. My 4 faves at the moment are:
    symphony x - iconoclast,
    symphony x - serpents kiss,
    dream theater - shattered fortress
Liquid tension experiment - paradigm shift

Sometimes I'll listen to the Count of Tuscany or simply put the entire 12 steps suite on if I'm really looking to get lost in the workout. :)
