Seems I have been staving myself for years and had no idea I don't eat in the morning and don't get hungry till afternoon then maybe I'll eat maybe I won't. Then I eat a big dinner maybe a snak.
Now I eat breakfast everyday have lunch and dinner. I eat more now than I have in years, but I can't seem to reach the calorie intake goal. I need 300-400 more calories. I would eat fruit and veggies for snaks not a big calorie gain.
What would you eat to make those up.

Most likely a tuna salad with a slice of whole wheat bread. That can easily be 300-400 calories and it makes you feel full so it tricks your body.

I adore humous, try it with your veggies as a dip. It's full of good stuff and will fill you up as well.

    cheese?

I like sugar snap peas with warm goats cheese as a snack takes 10 sec in microwave to melt cheese and then dip away!

Eggs would probably be good to, if you have the whole egg..

If I am low on calories and fat, I cook in olive oil instead of using spray oil. I will also add cheese or avocado to sandwiches, snack on fruit instead of veg (higher calories), or sometimes eat a larger portion of protein to meet my daily goals.

My go to snacks are string cheese, apples, carrots with hummus. If I am low on protein or fiber I'll eat a Nu Go protein bar or a Fiber One bar...or drink a protein shake made with milk and frozen bananas. If I need more fat, I'll put peanut butter in the shake.

Nuts give you the calories, and are so good for you, even though the fat content is high....it is good fat. JUST DON'T GO WITH HONEY ROASTED.....lol

Good ideas. I think I can do this. Eggs three times a week and mix up the rest with a protien shake or tuna or something.
I will keep working at it.
Thanks every one you are very helpful.

So, if she is low on calories and has to eat more. Will this trigger her metabolism to start back up? Because when your too low on calories the calorie counter tells you that you will go into "starvation mode". And since she is in "starvation mode" because she's never really eaten many calories, how long before her metabolism starts back up and how will this effect her weight loss?
