Ok so a co-worker of mine brought in a big container of Carmel Pop Corn... My favorite snack... not thinking twice I grab a huge cup of it and ate away... Now its after lunch and I went to log in everything I ate for lunch and realized how many calories the pop corn was!! CRAP... now what do I do? Do I skip dinner?? Do I work out longer?? I feel like such a dummy for not thinking before I ate...

I wouldn't skip dinner. Perhaps workout longer and have a smaller, lighter dinner with a lot of fibre to leave you feeling full?0

Have a nice big salad with some grilled chicken for diner and maybe add some extra time to your work out!0

Work out longer and have like, Greek yogurt and fiber one for dinner. Something teeny, but filling. You messed up, its not a big deal. Now you'll know better next time.0

It was one slip up. Don't turn it into an entire day of slip ups by skipping dinner. Just keep up your regular routine the rest of the day and workout a little longer if you want.0

I would agree with others. One day with some poor choice popcorn is not going to wreck your progress. How many cals do you have for dinner?
I would suggest a low calorie dinner and maybe a longer work out- or maybe just take an extra walk with your kids/dogs/SO, etc so that you are out and away from food and get some activity.0 -
Forgive yourself, move on, and do everything normally, as if you never ate it. Don't try to "make up" for it, and don't beat yourself up about it.0

Just eat what you would normally eat for dinner, and if you can get in some exercise afterward, that would be good. If not, tomorrow is a new day! Just try not to reach for the popcorn until calculating it first! This one slip-up won't break you, just start fresh in the morning and drinks lots of water tonight.0

Learn from it and move on.0

I would not skip dinner altogether. However, you may want to adjust what you were planning to eat to something lower in calories that is just lean protein and veggies without sugars or carbs. Not sure what you were planning to eat, but something like half of a chicken breast (4oz grilled without added fat or oil is 110 calories) and a bunch of broccoli (8oz steamed is 64 calories) would be low in calories but provide you enough energy to get through your evening. Then either make up the rest of your overage with some extra exercise or just let it go and get back on track tomorrow.0

It happened big deal will a few hundred calories really derail all your efforts. I never sweat a one time thing. I just get right back with the program0

Don't be down on yourself. It happens to the best of us.
I would eat a light dinner with lots of fiber and exercise. With exercise you can make it like it never was.
Hope this helps.0
