i had a operation last feburay which has caused me to gain 2 stone in weigh as I also gave up smoking ... I've been exercising for the last couple of months as the op stopped me before because of scarring etc I've started doing 25 k cycles and walking every day which works out about 20,000 steps average a day I've also been using this site to control my diet but still gaining .
I've never been more than 8.1/2 stone so as u can image gaining this weigh hasn't been easy for me I'm desperate to lose it any help or advice would be great thanks

Unless you are third spacing massive amounts of fluid you gained weight because you are more consuming calories than you needed. Try weighing what you eat and see if that helps. Not weighing food can lead to inaccuracies.0

Your operation put you in a cycle of eating too much for your body and probably in stress
Great that you are recovered and can return to moving more
However you need to weigh and log your food and eat to a calorie defecit across the week, each and every week to drop the excess weight0 -

Similar thing happened to me. Had two ops on my stomach beginning of last year. Put two stone on...felt fat n frumpy! In January this year started my health kick . I've lost 28 lbs calorie counting. I walk 6 miles each day, more often than not. I'm now waiting for another operation to repair my shoulder, ( accident at work! ), but this time I'm not gonna sit around an eat everything in sight lol like last time.
You can do this, you will feel so much better for it. Good luck! !!!0
