Money trumps most other issues.0

Intelligence is not important if she's totally cray cray.0
-
Depends on how long you want to be with the SO.0

I like a smart, professional, older man, who also likes to be naughty. Idk specific IQ guidelines, but if you text like a 19 yo, I'm out.0

Given that most people don't actually know their IQ number so there is no point in asking?
Must be at least as smart as me, and apparently I am a totally smarty pants...or maybe I just have a smart mouth.0 -
If he can recite the Declaration of Independence in reverse, he is worthy.0

There are much MUCH more important things to measure.0

Depends on how nice his body is.
Just kidding...sort of.
I'm a lot more book smart than my husband - I excelled in school and everyone around me seems to think I'm rather intelligent, so perhaps it's true. However, he's got way more common sense and "street smarts" than I do. I mean, we all say and do stupid things, but I can be a real ditz sometimes. We balance each other out. We're both simultaneously smart and stupid, like every other person.
If anyone actually has an IQ requirement when looking for a partner, they need to get their priorities straight.0 -
Above average with a side of common sense. But I could go for a dumbass with a boat right about now . . .0

@MonkeyMel21 Strong portfolio and a weak heart. You're in luck.0 -
It's not IQ that matters, it's income.0

Seeing as you hardly ever actually know someone's IQ.... uh I like em smert...0
-
Smart enough to get my jokes, make conversation with a variety of people, and manage his own stuff.0
-
I prefer outliers. Don't need numbers to spot those. Usually cray, cray because they know too much...0
-
Oh, IQ does matter. 100 is the exact average, and I prefer at least average to above. I certainly wouldn't ask, though. IQ matters, too, if you plan to have children.0

Well, mines ~138, so anywhere between 110 and 140 will do me just fine. Mind, dumb girls are sorta cute due to their gullibility and general lack of knowledge. A fact a day, keeps the dumbness at bay (until they ask 'why'!!)0

My husband and I actually had the same SAT score (although he did better on math and I scored higher on the verbal portion)...so I suppose that makes us intellectual equals.
He may have an Ivy League degree (while I didn't even think if applying to his alma mater) but I still beat him at Trivial Pursuit and Boggle.

I love the idea of "selecting" your SO. No more to it than picking out a ripe melon or what you're drinking with your meal.0

So, apparently, I score well on IQ tests. Always have. I don't think I am really that smart, but I have a good deal more reading comprehension than most and a great memory. So I think I fake it. That said, I am a bit more prideful of my plain ol' common sense, logic, and ability to relate to others, which I think buys ya more in the life market than just book smarts.
That said, I am super attracted to the same in girls.0 -
IQ is actually not a very great indicator of intelligence at all, and isn't used as a metric of intelligence anywhere professional.0
-
FYI IQ tends to be heritable, but it doesn't seem to be very genetic. Of the half dozen genes associated strongly with IQ, they are only strongly associated with about a 1 point difference. Heck, your significant other will actually "inherit" IQ from you if yours is higher. Not seeing the point is looking for an actual IQ in a mate.
Someone you can converse with at your level is nice though.0 -
Well since I don't know what an so is the person must be at least smart enough to tell me0

How you doin'?
I have an IQ of 128 if that helps.0
