No Alcohol August

Hi all! I want to not drink any alcohol in the month of August to see if this helps with my weight loss. Is anyone else in the same boat and wants to join me? I love my after-work vodka's but they are too many empty calories!

I'm a Prosecco girl... Like a few glasses each evening to unwind...which turns into at least half a bottle, usually a bottle mist nights. Totally shooting myself in the foot after exercising and healthy eating! Did dry January and found it tough as though0 -

I'm in! I've been 4 days without a drink so far. It's been years since I've gone 4 days without a drink. But I believe I can do a full month with the support of some friends!
My drink of choice is beer which is so not a diet food!

I'm joining to lower my triglycerides, not really weight loss though it does impact my calories. I can usually put away half a bottle of vodka in a night.

I want to do this so bad. But I drink during the week here and there and the weekends I go all out, still logging everything though. But the scale won't budge. I do live with an alcoholic so it'll be super hard. But I'd like to try.0

You guys can do it! I was drinking heavily 2-3 nights a week before deciding to go dry for the month of July. It was definitely difficult the first week - I found myself wanting to drink out of habit more than anything else. It got easier after that, though, and I feel great now. It's nice to give your body (and wallet) a break!0

I'm in. My weight loss stalls and grinds to a halt when I have a few glasses of Scotch in the evening. Besides, good scotch is expensive and I can always use the extra cash. Add me if you like!0

I'm in. Coming over from the dry July thread... I went 3/4 of July with no alcohol and I lost some weight, saved money, but the best part was what it did to my skin. I literally look younger. I want to continue into August!0

I don't want to sound like a cliché but I'm an Irish guy so you can imagine the culture of drinking here.
