Good Evening MFP,
I have a question regarding Protein Shake, now I want to try this out but after reading and hearing reviews, they said to try to drink them a hour befor you work out. Now my question is, can I pre-make them and drink them when am ready or does it have to be made right then and there, well it go bad is my question. The reason why is because I usally work out right after work and don't have the time nor the place to make it befor gym time. Please help me with any information on Protein Shake like recipe/info ect ect.
Thanks,
Sara

I take mine within an hour AFTER my workout as a recovery drink. I mix it in a blender with milk and usually 1/2 banana or some strawberries.0

Yup, I do my protein shake after my workout not before.0

Protein will denature if you premix it so you won't get the benefits that way. You don't necessarily have to drink it before your workout. You can just use it as a meal replacement throughout the day if it is convenient or drink it after your workout.0

I have a protein shake in the morning for breakfast along with fruit and then after i have had a work out, im usually hungry so I have a protein shake then. the reason being is that when you work out you "destroy" your muscles leaving it to be the perfect time to pump in the protein and build up leaner meaner ones! Well, thats wat i was told anyhu!0

I mix one before going to work and drink it over the next hour. I also mix unflavored protein in my iced tea and drink it throughout the day. I wouldn't store it to drink after your workout at the end of the day...just doesn't sound good.0
