Diabetic monitoring blood glucose before and after workout

I was wondering if anyone else had similar experience. I have been exercising more often and more intensely in the past 2 weeks. I noticed my blood glucose levels are higher after workout while in the past they would be lower or equal to the before exercise level.
I read when exercise is more intense your body will break glycogen and release glucose to give energy to your muscles and cells which explains the rise. I am hoping not to reduce the intensity and frequency I hope that my body will adapt soon to this rythm and my glucose level will go back to decent level. Any thoughts ? anyone else experienced the same?

How high is the high after working out? I would assume that your body will get used to the working out and level out eventually, but the workouts have to be consistent. Just like your resting heart rate will decrease over time as you are getting fitter, your body should be getting more efficient with using the glucose in your blood. Just keep up with what you're doing and don't forget to weight train. For diabetics, this is a great way to keep you BG in check for the long haul.0

Exercise makes my blood sugar rise 100% of the time. I make sure it's on the lower end of normal range before, and then check and quickly correct about 10 minutes after. This morning I had a slightly low fasting reading of 61. I corrected just enough to bring it up to about 75-80. After 30 minutes on the treadmill, it was up to 175.0

@rbakedq and @rhyolite_ it's good to see i am not the only one. It makes me less worried about it.
@wkwebby it goes up in the range of 144 to 216. The worst is when I swim laps. When i run i try to keep a steady hr around 159 it happens with running to. I do better when i do nike training club workouts or stuff like jillian where my big muscle are working a lot. I am trying to introduce weight I know it's great for diabetic it's just a whole learning process and I am looking to have access to heavier weight since I have outgrown my 2 and 5 pounds dumbbell.
Thanks all for the advice I will keep doing what I am doing and things will get better0 -
This has started happening to me too. I am a pumper and I used to have to suspend my pump while exercising or else I would go low during my exercise. I workout at a gym 4 days a week where I do mostly cardio and some weights and I do 2 back to back classes on Tuesday, one is a cardio dance class and the other is P90x. I've noticed my blood sugar rising during exercise so I have been setting a temporary basal at 20% rather than completely suspsending. This week before class my BS was 122. When I tested after class I was at 274 and I killed my workout, I was soaking wet with sweat when I was done. I have a sensor that I never wear but I am going to wear it for a few weeks to see when my BS starts to spike and try to figure this out. Being diabetic is like living in a science experiment0

It's True everyday is an experiment and they are so many factors that can influence your BS. I found as a diabetic you know your body a lot more then the average person.0
