In a roundabout way, I guess. I'm not engaged yet, but it is a motivating factor for me. One of many though.0

I know the answer though... you eat all the cake!!!!!!0 -
OMG I know better. I do. I really do. I ordered my bridesmaid dress a size to small. I have three months.

well, my wedding dress is too big now. Glad I bought it cheap from a dress maker on etsy. So no dress in mind, but I am aiming for our honeymoon trip (which we never got a chance to take because I had surgery right after our wedding) as a "goal" to aim for, and there might be a pretty dress in there somewhere.0

Yeah, I want to wear my graduation dress next year. I'm around 45 kg away from wearing it.0

Yep, then I ate and drank on my honeymoon and still can't get back into "real life mode" - gained 3lbs, lost .6 so far...and that was several weeks ago.0

Are you genuinely concerned about OP's longterm goals or are you just trolling someone with a concrete goal?-1 -
I kind of am. My wedding is next year and I certainly want to look great for it, but that's not the only reason I'm trying to lose weight.0

It forms a part of my motivation. I've been slowly losing weight for a while but it's certainly given me something concrete to look towards and motivation to stop yo-yo-ing. It's certainly not the only aspect of my motivation or my goals, but it's in there. Almost exactly a year to go until the big day and I'm about to start dress hunting!0

Kind of.. We have been engaged since 25\12\12 and have set a date of 25\08\17 (our 10 year anniversary date) however if I'm not in the place I want to be then I won't be getting married. And believe me I really want to. My goals are to reach that weight I want 6 months before our 'wedding' date so I can maintain therefore will maintain thereafter.0

I once lost 15 pounds for a dress when my son got married (which was still 10 pounds over my ideal weight). And while I should have been determined to maintain, I ended up ultimately gaining back 50 pounds, for a total of 60 pounds over ideal. I finally got determined last year and over about a six month period lost ten pounds. Then I learned about MFP and lost another 17 in six months. Slowly but surely I'm getting there.0
