I started my new routine of healthy eating and exercise 58 days ago and I'm really excited by the results I've seen so far.
I can't wait for the next 58 days!
Feel free to add me as a friend - I love how supportive the community is on here - makes me feel like I'm not in this alone.
(ps: Please excuse my chronically messy bedroom! )

You look great.how much have you lost and what was your diet?0

Thanks Jake!
I'm down 15lbs so far - my goal is to lose 40lbs although to be honest as the days go by this is becoming less about the number on a scale and more about how I feel, how I'm progressing in my workouts and how my clothes are fitting.
I'm set up on MFP with the usual 1200 calories/day but, as I work out most days I'll usually go over it by a couple hundred calories. I rarely eat back any calories burnt with the exception being days that I do a road cycle (usually around 50kms) and end up burning 1000+ calories.
I usually eat a bowl of bran flakes for brekkie, have a turkey salad sandwich at lunch and then either chicken, steak or tuna at dinner with a large salad and small portion of brown rice or pasta.
If I snack it's usually fruit or if I need a chocolate fix then chocolate covered rice cakes. When I'm cycling I happily scarf down stuff like a Snickers bar
The main thing for me was cutting down on my alcohol intake - I definitely think this has had a huge impact!0 -

Wow thanks everyone! I posted this last night before bed and woke up to all these lovely messages!
Reema - I usually do about 40mins cardio, mostly on the bike but a bit of running now too now that my fitness levels are up. I know cardio isn't for everyone but I do a lot of cycling and I love it so I don't mind it too much!
After that I will work either arms/chest/back or legs/core on the isolation machines. I'm not sure what weights I'm at right now but I'll do 3 sets of 8.
Twice a week I work on strength and conditioning with a trainer doing anything from flipping giant tyres to boxing to free weights - I love this and am very lucky that I have a gym near me with such a ridiculously low monthly sub that frees up money for the PT sessions (which are also very reasonable!)
I don't usually go to the gym on the weekends but I do try and fit in a cycle or a 5k run.
I use a Polar HR monitor to get an accurate number for my calories burnt - this has been a godsend!

Haha thanks! It's not too bad - in the beginning it was tough but as my fitness improves and my energy levels increase it gets better! I find the exercise part much easier than the 'diet' part to be honest, because: food
