What gets measured, gets managed” – Peter Drucker

Tired of back tracking and feeling like you have to keep starting over? Well stop doing that and start tracking your progress today! @chubbard9 and I are co-leading this group because we believe you have the power to control your weight loss, but first you may need to carefully analyze factors that may contribute to your progress both positively and negatively. Therefore, we’ve designed a Google Sheet just for this purpose and invite you to join the Track It or Back Track Challenge Group today. With the help of tracking, @chubbarb9 (58 pounds) and I (31 pounds) have lost almost 90 pounds collectively so far and YOU can too! Why not join us today?!

What to Expect:
  • Accountability – logging on Google Sheet daily or as often as you can while participating in the forums
  • Motivational support – encouragement from others struggling with similar issues
  • Weekly Challenges – tasks designed to push you to be a better you [suggestions welcome!]
  • Additional resources – helpful links, videos, and ideas to improve your chances of success
  • Dedicated co-leaders – this is important to keep the group moving forward so you know we mean business!

What you will be Tracking:
  • Weight – MFP starting weight, first mini-goal weight, ultimate goal weight, MFP loss per week goal, and beginning and end of week weight.
  • Mood – tracking whether or not you were in an overall good or bad mood each day will give you added insights into your weight loss progress.
  • Water – some say drink 8 glasses a day (64 oz), others say half your body weight, but regardless determining your own goal and tracking if you are reaching that goal on a daily basis may explain weight loss ups and down.
  • Calories – monitoring whether you are consistently over or under calories is important in determining weight loss outcomes as well as determining if you need to adjust your MFP goal. Since everyone is different, you set your own calorie goal and document if you are under or over that goal each day (this includes exercising if you eat back those calories).
  • Exercise – writing your weekly exercise goal and checking your progress based on the type of exercise will further help you achieve your goals.
  • Overall Weekly Progress Satisfaction – tracking your overall satisfaction can help you determine any changes you may need to make in order to be successful.

During the course of this challenge, modifications based on group members suggestions may be made. If you decide to join, our goal is for you to be actively supportive to others while holding yourself accountable to using the Google Sheet. A lot of time and effort was put into making this group that we think will become evident to members right away. It is our hope you find the layout detailed enough without being too complicated.

Again, CLICK HERE to join the group. Be sure to click the announcement “Introduce Yourself” to tell us about why you joined and what brings you here.

One final note: You can join any time. We plan on keeping the group up and indefinitely barring there are active members and MFP is still around. That said, you’ll just want to make sure you complete the correct spreadsheet tab for the week you joined – the spreadsheet will be updated weekly based on a Sunday to Saturday week.

We hope to see you there!
