Hey there,

Long time lurker, first time poster.

I started my weight loss journey in July of 2014, weighing in at 274.9lbs.
I joined MFP, downloaded the app and begrudgingly started counting calories.
Throughout the past year, I started lifting, eating healthier and drinking less.
I now weigh around 197 on a good day, but Im not where I want to be yet..
My final goal is to be at or around 175lbs for a total loss of 100lbs.

The reason for this post though, is to create some accountability for myself.
I am leaving for a week-long trip to Montreal in the 3rd week of September.
Im setting a fairly high goal for myself - I want to weigh 180 lbs by the time I leave.
Thats roughly 2-2.5 lbs of weight loss per week, but Ill be happy if I lose 1-1.5 per week.

I will try and post picture updates on a weekly basis and of the end result. (Sept 18th)

The before pictures are at 274.9lbs and the after pictures are at 195.8lbs.
I forgot to take an initial scale pic at 274.9lbs so 260lbs is the best I have.

Hey this is awesome great job man you will reach your goal I know it the cool thing is is we kind of have similar stories I started at 2:35 and lost 38 pounds so far so I am 197 now if your weight loss stalls for a little bit what you can actually do is increase your caloric intake by about 50 or 100 cal week by week and after you've added 500 cal total to your diet stay at that caloric intake for about a month then cut off that 500 cal when you feel like your bodies adjusted to the food, you shouldn't be gaining any weight while adding those calories week by week either losing some or just staying there, but what happens is your body adjusts to the higher caloric intake and when you do take away that 500 calories back you'll pretty much restart your weight loss and you should be losing pretty quickly like you did in the beginning! Hopefully this wasn't too confusing haha tried to explain it the best I could! Many bodybuilders incorporate this if they're weightloss either slows or if they wanna go back to eating normal after they get to they're goal weight without gaining any weight.

Looking awesome! Are you so sure you need to lose more? At 195, you must be a tall 6'4'' or so? Honest I look at pic and you appear at a good goal weight right now. Regardless, you've done an awesome job of transforming yourself!

Thanks for all the support guys!!
I'm actually 6'0", so 195lbs is still on the heavy side I feel..

My weigh-in days are Fridays so I'll be posting scale pics each weekend.
My goal for this week is an achievable 197.5lbs.
I started last week around 200lbs and that scale pic was taken at my lowest. :P

Thanks! I'm at or a little above 6' I think.
I'm scared for my weekly weigh-in goal tomorrow (197.5) cause I was 198.2 this morning..

That's amazing! I searched the forums for 'Transformation' looking for some inspiration and I found it here. I have a similar belly to yours in your before picture up top, and can't wait to lose it. I'm only a few weeks in but already experienced big changes. Cutting down on booze is hardest, since it's how I see all my oldest friends.

So is this a year of calorie counting and lifting that's brought you to this point? You look great! If I'm where you are in a years time I'll be over the moon.

You can do it!! You just have to dedicate yourself and know that slipping up isn't a big deal. Not drinking as much was pretty hard for me aswell but it's helped alot. (I drink once a week now) I lost about 60lbs in 6 months and then I got tired of cutting so I've been half-assing it until now haha.
