Food Diary Entry Won't Save??

So will myfitnesspal not let you save/complete a food journal entry if you are too low under your calorie goal? Twice now it's given me the message that my calorie count for the day was "too low"-after I try to save it.Then when I look on my profile it doesn't post that it was saved? I tried mutiple times and wouldn't save. Then when I add something random I didn't eat to bring up my calories for the day and save again , it works? Is this just a glitch or do you have to consume a certain number of calories for it to log the entry?

No it won't let you save due to it wanting you to meet calorie needs. What I usually do is log all my food in the mornings do try not to deviate from it. So I know my goal and I know to stay on track

It still saves everything, but if you eat below 1000 calories it will not give you a weight prediction or post to your feed. This is because you still need to give your body adequate nutrition, which is highly difficult to do at such a low number. Some people used to come to MFP with the intent of starving themselves to a certain number. They instituted this to save themselves.

Oh okay thank you everyone! I was having about 850-950 calories on the days I wasn't eating a ton, or everything was just naturally low calorie.

You should be aiming for 1200 calories net (after exercise), or whatever the goal given to you is. If you're having a hard time reaching it, then add in some things from this list: https://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10142490/a-list-of-calorie-dense-foods

I think it's totally normal to have days where you're just not very hungry. I still want to close out my day even if I didn't eat what they determine to be enough. I can see if I was logging that everyday and they gave a warning that you're not consuming enough calories, the same way tik tok reminds you that you've been scrolling too long. But I'm not a fan of them not allowing us to complete our log because of this. I'm a check list person and I feel good once I've closed out and I usually don't do it until the next day - so to get around this I'm faking an entry which isnt accurate.
