Measuring delimma

When I'm cooking I noticed several things will measure out calories in ounces. After cooking everything, my best option (seeing as how I do not own a scale for my food) is to measure out the portions I have. How can I measure the calories in cups when they give it to me in ounces on the label?
Thank you!
Thank you!

8 oz fit into a cup, but it varies wildly depending on if you pack it in, lay it in lightly, or just scoop it up. Food scale has helped me control serving sizes TREMENDOUSLY. If you can afford it, please look into it. I do not regret my purchase one bit.0

I have a super cheap/flimsy food scale that I got at Target for like $5... it measures up to 12 oz or something. It totally does the trick when measuring out my pasta, chicken, etc!0
