Hi, my name is Chris. I'm 58 years old and feel every bit of it. I've been diabetic for 19 years and have developed neuropathy below my knees. I exercise 5 days a week but don't seem to be able to lose any weight. So, after a discussion with my doctor, I've decided to go for bariatric surgery. This is not going to be easy. I have to change a lifetimes worth of eating habits. But each journey starts with a single step. So this is it.

hi, and best wishes to you. my husband was diabetic (on 5 large doses of insulin a day plus tablets) till he had bariatric surgery last October(gastric bypass). he is now on one tablet a day and has lost 8 stones since the start of his journey. he always says he couldn't have done it without my support, and I am happy to support others. I have sent you a friends request0
